Attention all parents
of 6th grade students: You are invited to attend a meeting to
preview the 6th grade Human Growth & Development lessons and
materials and to talk with school staff about the program. The meeting will be
held on Tuesday, October 14 from 5:00pm-7:00pm in the Health Rooms prior to the
October PTA meeting. All program materials and videotapes will be
available for your review at that time.
As you may know,
parents who do not wish to have their children participate in Human Growth and
Development instruction may choose to opt their children out of any or all of
the lessons. If you would like to opt your child out of one or more of these
lessons, please fill out the form for your child’s grade level which will be
available at the meeting on Monday and with all Health/PE teachers, and return
it to your child’s teacher. If you have already indicated your desire to opt
your child out of the HGD lessons by using the form sent home earlier in the
