Attention
all parents of 7th and 8th grade students: You are
invited to attend a meeting to preview the 7th and 8th
grade Human Growth & Development lessons and materials and to talk with
school staff about the program. The meeting will be held on Thursday, September
18 from 5:30-6:30pm in the Health Classrooms prior to the Back to School Night.
All program materials and videotapes will be available for your review at
that time. Our 6th grade parent FLE preview night will be on Tuesday,
October 7 from 5:00pm-7:00pm in the Health Classrooms.
As
you may know, parents who do not wish to have their children participate in
Human Growth and Development instruction may choose to opt their children out
of any or all of the lessons. If you would like to opt your child out of one or
more of these lessons, please fill out the form for your child’s grade level
which will be available at the meeting on Monday and with all Health/PE
teachers, and return it to your child’s teacher. If you have already indicated
your desire to opt your child out of the HGD lessons by using the form sent
home earlier in the school year, you do not need to return this form.
